What are RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+)?

RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) are FDA-approved dermal fillers that effectively address moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the lines from your nose to your mouth corners). RADIESSE® is also specifically designed to restore volume loss in the back of your hands.

Who should not use RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+)?

RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) should not be used if you have allergies to any product component, a history of severe allergies, a bleeding disorder, or pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you are allergic to lidocaine or similar medications, avoid RADIESSE® (+).

What are the potential risks?

Although rare, unintentional injection into a blood vessel can occur and may lead to serious complications. These complications include vision abnormalities, blindness, stroke, scabs, or permanent scarring. If you experience any vision changes, signs of a stroke, a white appearance of the skin, or unusual pain during or after treatment, inform your healthcare provider immediately. Infections are also a potential risk associated with any skin injection.

Are RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) safe for use in all areas?

RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) are not approved for use in the lips or around the eyes. However, they are ideal for addressing wrinkles, folds, and volume loss in other areas of the face and hands.

What can I expect during the treatment?

Our experienced professionals will administer RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+) through injections. The procedure is relatively quick, and you can resume your daily activities soon afterward. Some temporary side effects, such as bruising, redness, swelling, and itching, may occur but usually resolve quickly.

How long do the results last?

RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) offer long-lasting results, with effects lasting up to a year or more. The duration can vary depending on factors like individual metabolism and treatment location.

How do I ensure optimal safety and results?

Before treatment, inform your healthcare provider about any medications you are taking, particularly blood thinners, as they may increase the risk of bruising or bleeding. Communicate any hand conditions, a history of forming raised scars, or previous skin treatments you have undergone, such as skin peels.

What are the most common side effects?
